Policies

Beginning on March 1, 2017, the following policies will officially go into effect for all Next Generation Sequencing services:
  • All samples / libraries submitted will undergo quality control (QC) checks – turnaround time for QC will be within one (1) business day from time of drop off
  • All submissions require a valid USC account number or Purchase Order before any work can be started
  • Sequencing data for samples / libraries using a shared flowcell option will be delivered within six (6) weeks from date of submission
  • Sequencing data for samples / libraries using a full flowcell option will be delivered within two (2) weeks from date of submission
  • Minimum reads per sample / library for shared flowcells: 25 million (in 25 million read increments); not applicable if purchasing a full flowcell / sequencing run
  • Customer-made libraries must be pooled by end users before submitting for sequencing
  • Each library in a customer-made pool must have a minimum 25M reads (in 25M read increments); not applicable if purchasing a full flowcell / sequencing run
  • All data is provided via the USC Molecular Genomics Core Sharefile system
  • All sequencing data will be provided in raw fastq format
  • Non-standard data handling charges will incur a handling fee where applicable
  • We do not provide leftover Core-made libraries once sequencing services are completed
  • Sequencing data is only guaranteed available for 90 days from date of data generation
  • All samples / libraries must be collected within 30 days from completion of sequencing
  • Invoicing of services occurs when data are delivered
